Leading players from the French furniture and furnishings industry will be out in force at the 2017 edition of Index Design Series which kicks off in Dubai tomorrow.

This year, the French furniture industry is being represented by a total of 14 exhibitors and 16 brands grouped together on a French Pavilion, up 50 per cent over last year in the number of brands exhibited.

French exhibitors will be in the Furniture and Furnishings section and in the Workspace at Index.

As the ideal occasion for buyers and specifiers from the Middle East design community, Index gives the opportunity to rediscover French know-how in furniture design and manufacturing, said the event organisers.

The 16 brands exhibiting at Index will be promoting their unique, expertise, stylishly designed products, emblematic collections.

"We are very excited about bringing to the show a larger number of exhibitors and a renewed commitment to offer consumers in the region a fresh look of the French Furniture Industry through a variety of designers and manufacturers," remarked Stephanie Roussin, International Project Manager.

France is the 10th largest exporter of goods in the world of which $2.2 billion account from the furniture market, he stated citing a Deloitte 2016 report.
